Our 2015 site re-launch | total-play
18th March 2015
Visitors to our online store www.thecricketgroundshop.co.uk will notice some changes for the better, as the site is re-launched following a series of developments aimed at improving customer experience.
The new ‘online catalogue’ style store provides more in-depth information on the range of products, which includes general cricket ground equipment, ground protection, water removal systems, cricket training products, scoreboards, indoor cricket facilities and non-turf pitch supplies. The site will remain the sole online outlet for both total-play’s non-turf cricket pitch components and the company’s Climate Cover range of ground covers – including the revolutionary Climate Cover System™; the lightest, strongest and only truly breathable flat cover as used at the ECB National Academy, Lords cricket ground, test match grounds, county grounds, schools and local league clubs.
Elsewhere, thecricketgroudshop.co.uk’s portfolio of products has been expanded across the spectrum. total-play has developed its own fabricated ground equipment ranges, including ‘Rain Defender’ Mobile Pitch Covers; ‘HiVision’ Sight Screens and ‘Protection Cage’ Mobile Batting Cages offering specifications that cater for and support all levels of the game from grass roots through to county level. Fully bespoke fabrications tailored to client request are also available. Carefully selected new cricket training products have also been added to the range – including catching devices from Katchet, Crazy Catch, Skyer and Fusion Multi Stump – and its bowling machine family grows with the inclusion of the ‘Paceman’ range.
total-play’s Product Development Manager, former Yorkshire cricketer Anthony Burton, says:
“The aim of the new, catalogue-style site will make it simpler for visitors to find the products they are looking for and to thoroughly research their options, thanks to more detailed images and product information. We appreciate that the majority of our products are not ‘commodity’ sales but are a real investment for clubs, and therefore our clients expect more than just a ‘click & buy’ experience. To help guide them through the process, we have introduced live ‘Jivochat’ to the site, which there’s always an expert member of the team on hand to quickly offer advice – or you can always pick up the phone.”
A range of special launch deals are now available on site; representing 10% discounts on products including Rain Defender Mobile Pitch Covers, Mobile Batting Protection Cages and HiVision Sight Screens. ECB NatWest Cricketforce member clubs can also redeem the exclusive offers on total-play products available as part of the scheme via the website.
