One of the most requested features in our ECB approved practice nets systems is the inclusion of training lines to one or more lanes. Woven into the carpet, these contrasting lines act as a useful guide for both bowler and batter – especially useful for coaching juniors.
More recently, we have also started offering ‘corridor’ lines (shown in green on the image above). This refers to the fabled cricketing ‘corridor of uncertainty’; an area just outside the off-stump which the batter can find most troubling – and attempts to offer a training tool to help resolve this common issue.
In both cases, the lines are woven into the carpet during the production process so enjoy the same longevity as the main carpet.
